In 490 practicum our project for the whole semester was based on getting a client and redesigning their branding or designing a new identity for them if they did not have one already. I chose to do a local hairstylist in the area named Holly. She works at a local salon but did not have a way for people to contact her if they want outside salon assistance, for example, weddings, events, proms, etc.... Therefore, I was tasked with designing her branding. I used the typeface Scripto and manipulated that whole thing in such a way as to make the H flow like hair would and manipulated the rest of the typeface to be cohesive with the flow of hair. Along with the logo I made a business card, punch card, menu of services, sticker, and Instagram feed posts. Using her personality to create a color scheme and visual look this project displays Holly's fun and very pink aesthetic!!
